Boat Hire & Fishing Permits

The boat hire cabin now stocks a range of fishing tackle including rods for sale/ hire, bait and daily/weekly fishing permits. There is also a hot drinks machine. Seasoned firewood logs are available to buy for those colder days/evenings or when the midges are on the go!

The slipway built in 2004 has proved very popular with boat owners and provides a sheltered launching facility for both pleasure and fishing vessels.

• Boat Hire Charges:

  Boats are available from 9.00am untill 6pm, Monday to Thursday throughout the season, and are available until Dusk on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

  Those registered with SANA are eligible for 15% discount on the boat hire charges. The boats are 15' in length and are equipped with 4 hp longshaft engines; lifejackets are provided and compulsory.

  4 Hours - £24 (minimum charge)
  6 Hours - £29
  8 Hours - £34

  From local company Highland Ventures we have a variety of inflatable watercraft available for testing. Their inflatable pontoon boats offer a unique and exciting change from the traditional fishing boat. Why not don some flippers and try out a fishing float tube - Escape the midges in the comfort of your own floating armchair!

  These tickets are widely available at shops, post offices, hotels and caravan parks in St. Fillans and Lochearnhead.

• Associate Membership Season Ticket Costs:

  Adult : £100
  Junior : £35

  These permits are only available from Loch Earn Fishings, Drummond Estate Office, Muthill, By Crieff, Perthshire PH5 2AA. Telephone 01764 681257. A passport sized photograph is also required.

• Mooring Rates:

  Moorings are available for rent at St. Fillans in the lee of Neish Island. We are offering a 10% discount on mooring charges for any angler taking out an Associate Membership Season Ticket.
