Fish Of A Lifetime For Kyle

This massive brownie at just over 20lbs was taken by Dunfermline teenager Kyle Ireland fishing from his grandfather's boat on the 16th April 2009.Trolling a 10cms Green/ orange Tiger Rapala the huge fish hit the lure just as the boat was passing by the Kendrum Burn at the west end of the loch.This fish is the third heaviest to be landed from Loch Earn in recent years.The previous two best are 21lbs 3ozs taken by Gavin Gilmore from Kincardine and 26lbs 10ozs by Archie Sommerville from Bonnybridge.I believe some scales have been sent to the Freshwater Fisheries Laboratory in Pitlochry for analysis
